Santiago is living out his golden years on the Baja coast, fishing all day and enjoying the good life. But that all changes when he makes the ill-advised mistake of listening to his grandson. “Start a Tik Tok channel, Papa. People will love to watch videos of you catching big fish, Papa.” Turns out the kid’s right, and Santiago becomes somewhat of a sensation. All seemed fine until he posted a video of a giant blue marlin snapping his line after a grueling 5-hour struggle. He shouldn’t have yelled that angry slur at the fish, and he certainly shouldn’t have used it as the TikTok’s title. Needless to say, the internet was none too pleased. Now Santiago’s only chance for redemption is to catch the elusive marlin so he can post a TikTok of it forgiving him.
