Electric Tide: The Shark Dilemma

In a near-future America where environmental policies have gone too far, the government has mandated that all boats must be electric, regardless of their practicality.

Enter Tom Blake, a grizzled, down-to-earth boat manufacturer from South Carolina who’s been building classic fishing boats for over 50 years. His world is turned upside down when he’s forced to convert his beloved vessels to electric power under the government’s strict regulations. But these new boats have a problem—they’re too heavy to float, too slow to fish, and their batteries die long before anyone can catch anything!

One day, while testing out one of the government-mandated electric boats in the swamps of South Carolina, Tom and his friends find themselves in a deadly situation. Their boat’s battery suddenly dies in the middle of a shark-infested bay. As the boat begins to sink, the group is faced with a horrifying choice: stay on board and risk being electrocuted by the massive battery going underwater, or jump into the water and face a pack of bloodthirsty sharks circling nearby.

In the heart-pounding climax of the film, the group debates their only options:

Option 1: Stay on the sinking boat and possibly get electrocuted if the battery touches water.

Option 2: Dive into shark-infested waters and risk being eaten alive.

What follows is a mix of high-tension drama and slapstick satire as the group debates their fate, leading to moments of comic absurdity as they weigh their chances of survival against government overreach, electric boat mandates, and hungry sharks. All the while, Tom questions the sanity of the world around him: Are these regulations worth it if they endanger lives, and why are there suddenly so many shark attacks?

Electric Tide: The Shark Dilemma is not just a thrilling survival story but also a satirical commentary on the unintended consequences of well-meaning environmental policies taken to an extreme. As Tom and his crew battle against nature (both the water and the sharks), they also take aim at bureaucratic overreach and the absurdity of technological mandates that ignore practical realities. The film pokes fun at red tape, impractical innovation, and the modern obsession with going green—no matter the cost.

Imagine a blend of Jaws with the humor of Airplane! as the boaters wrestle with their increasingly ridiculous situation. At the center is the question: Do you die by electricity, or do you die by shark? The debate is both hilarious and horrifying, filled with quippy one-liners, government conspiracies, and increasingly bizarre shark attack justifications from news reports.
