Studios have used all sorts of tricks and gimmicks to increase ticket sales. Make the action so grand you could never fully appreciate it on a tv. Add 3D, or even smell-o-vision. 3D didn’t do the trick it used to? No problem- 4D! But with a new game emerging, at least for the moment, the new trick seems to be getting eyes on personal devices. How do you do this? By letting the viewer choose the emojis that will be animated to represent every main character. Don’t like how the story’s unfolding? No problem- change the character’s avatar and emotional expression to make it more fun! The plot isn’t so crucial, but it’ll be benign, family friendly and inoffensive- a hilarious dog traveling the globe and bringing joy or inconvenience to all sorts of crazy human characters.
