It’s a return to the golden age of nonsensical gibberish-spewing 1990s Adam Sandler hilarity. Stranded on a desert island, Adam (character name TBD) falls madly in love with a coconut (played by John Cusack). But after the pair are rescued and left to rejoin their former separate lives, will their relationship survive? Was it love at first sight, or just serendipity? Who will sue for copyright infringement first, South Park or Miramax? Doesn’t matter- hopefully if we muck up the ending a bit no one will notice or care. Let’s say the third act goes full Bonnie and Clyde. That should do it. But why not give the kids a happy ending this time, and let them safely elude justice and escape to a deserted tropical island.
