Brooke has always been a mouthy piece of work. I mean, if your farther was a world class backstage politicker who often got stories and finishes changed to suit his insecurities AND you grew up around famed promo men like The Mouth of the South and Randy Poffo you’d have an heir of entitlement too and you’d probably think you could talk your way out of anything. And, you’d be right…that is, until Brooke’s mouth writes a check that even Peter Thiel’s checkbook can’t cash.
When Brooke gets caught trying to promo herself out of a possession charge, the Florida police enlist her to go undercover and entrap the cartel’s newest muscle; the Python. To keep herself out of jail, Brooke creates an entirely new persona to deliver epic promos in order to draw out the Python. Each turn of the phrase and wild boast brings her closer to the heart of the Python’s operation. But will Brooke be able to talk herself out of trouble when she finds out that the Python is someone close to her? The only surprise with a twist this lame and telegraphed is that this isn’t directed by M. Night Shyamalan.
In the end, will Brooke be able to save herself, her family, and find a way to promote her new album? We’re not really sure, because we didn’t bother to finish this pitch. We lost interest in the family right around the time Be a Man dropped. Now, that’s a good tune…
