Pour Things

Are we proud of this one?  No.  Will we post it anyway? Obviously. Meet Beau, a 19 year old French man with the mind of a 3 year old baboon. Literally. That’s right, after some clunky exposition we learn that Beau’s “adoptive father” is a lunatic surgeon who’s been performing secret and highly illegal organ transplants for decades.  After running away from his adoptive father (probably the most believable and on-character action in the movie), Beau is befriended by a local bar owner. Beau may not be the brightest grape on the vine, but he’s a looker and fairly dexterous, which is all this guy is really looking for in a bartender. After an hour of situational comedy and graphic gratuitous nudity, Beau must confront the existential question that’s been hounding him on and off for half of the movie: is there more to life than just pouring things?
