Now that Disney owns Fox and is trying to reunite the disparate parts of the Marvel cinematic universe you’ll get the R-rated Deadpool sequel the comic nerds demand but then also this more family-friendly offshoot where Wade Wilson has to contend with the trials and tribulations of raising his child, Deadtub.
After being called in to a meeting with the principal due to his son’s acting out in class Deadpool needs to find a way to make good with the administration at the fancy private school Deadtub attends, and soon his wisecracking, fourth wall-breaking antics are directed at school bake sales and PTA meetings instead of supervillains. Wade has never had an issue navigating the criminal underworld and its super-powered denizens but how will he fare in the cutthroat world of private school moms and their judgy-ness? Can he teach his son how to push back against bullies without decapitating them? Can he endure the constant japes and comments of how cringe his son’s schoolmates find him and his costume? Ryan Reynolds reunites with the child actor who played young him in that other movie we forgot about for this Disney+/Hulu special. Rated PG-13 for frequent Aviation Gin product placements and outsized ego
