This Ryan Reynolds vehicle introduces us to Barry Boppins, a sarcastic, down-on-his-luck umbrella maker with astonishing magical powers and an even more astonishing cocaine addiction. When the umbrella market dries up, a desperate Barry decides to try his hand at babysitting…despite the obvious fact that he hates children. Sound contrived? Fair enough. But believe us, The Pacifier this is not. It’s all part of Barry’s scheme to cozy up to the children of a bank manager and pull off the perfect heist. But as anyone with any experience in planning overly elaborate schemes will tell you, magic and cocaine are a dangerous mix. Especially when sarcasm and children are involved…we assume. This won’t end well for anyone, but hilarity will indeed ensue.
