Slay the Day

A Tim Burton/Disney/Hershey/Fredricks of Hollywood/Party City Joint.

In the enchanted town of Heartsville, where everything revolves around Valentine’s Day, Cupid reigns as the benevolent ruler, ensuring that love and harmony spread across the world.

Heartsville is a colorful, whimsical place filled with heart-shaped balloons, romantic melodies, and magical creatures devoted to merchandising love.

However, far away in the cold and shadowy North Pole, a bitter and vengeful Santa Claus—known in this world as Claws—has grown tired of the relentless cheer and happiness of Valentine’s Day. Still bitter after being kidnapped by Jack Skellington, Claws devises an evil plan to get even. He kidnaps Cupid and plots to erase love from the world, turning Valentine’s Day into a commercialized nightmare. The town of Heartsville is thrown into chaos without Cupid’s leadership.

But hope arrives in the form of an unlikely hero: Percy, a scrappy, resourceful possum who lives on the fringes of Heartsville. Known for his ability to play dead to escape danger. With the help of Lola, a charming and brave skunk, Percy embarks on a journey to rescue Cupid, traveling through mystical lands like the Hershey’s Forest of Chocolate and the treacherous Hallmark Tunnel of Forgotten Loves. Along the way, they encounter eccentric characters like F.T.D., a feisty florist with a knack for weaponized bouquets, and Mylar, a heart-shaped balloon who has a fear of popping. As Percy confronts Claws in his dark, frozen lair, he must summon all his courage and cunning to outwit the tyrannical Santa. During this ordeal, Percy learns that love isn’t just about cards or chocolate or sexy edible underwear or heated massage lotions —it’s about small, selfless acts of kindness and bravery. Percy uses his possum instincts and Lola’s aroma to free Cupid, and together they restore love to the world. Claws is ultimately defeated when Percy reports his evil behavior to Mrs. Claws who promptly whoops that candy ass. Finally, Cupid spreads the spirit of love back to Heartsville in time for Valentine’s Day.
