While crime in general is on the decline, all 5 boroughs of NYC have been experiencing an uptick in residential murders. But the widely different causes of death and lack of obvious motives have detectives stumped. Enter Tre, a brilliant but troubled young hacker from Brooklyn, who’s used to taking care of himself and covering his tracks. During a routine hack to steal credit card numbers from streaming services, Tre uncovered a horrible plot- someone has rigged Netflix’s view tracking system to randomly select viewers in the city to be graphically murdered in a way reflecting the last thing they watched. While Trey would normally not care about such things happening to strangers, his apathy disappears when he notices his own name is next on the list.
