Murdered by Words and Poison

Famous food critic Jacques Sudan is dead!  Apparently done in by a poisoned nightcap. But known for his harsh critiques and condescending one-liners, any chef in the country could be a suspect.  Enter detective Laurent, the brilliant yet eccentric head of the police department’s culinary crimes and murder division.  We follow detective Laurent as he interrogates dozens of the city’s top chefs, each one quirkier than the last, though all harboring well-deserved grudges against the deceased.  But this buffet of suspects is only an appetizer for the main course- a murderous conspiracy sewn into the very fabric of the culinary community.
