There’s an old saying: May you live in interesting times. For John Smith; a common man with a common name, the saying was his nightly recitation – a daily prayer in hopes of breaking the monotony. Being born in the mid-seventies there were no wars against a great evil to fight against, he was too young for the free love sixties and swinging seventies, too old for designer drugs of the mid-aughts. But recently, things have started to change. Trump, Coronavirus, Sweet Tomatoes closing forever – John’s nightly prayers have become a curse. All the depression and misery has become too much for him to handle. Month after month of quarantine has overwhelmed John until he finally cracks and hatches a desperate plan. He decides to travel to the past and kill his own parents to prevent himself from being born and living through these interesting times. They say to be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. For John Smith his dreams came true, but he found out they were nightmares all along. Can he wake up in time to end this nightmare? Find out in a movie whose time travel rules make so little sense, it must have come from Christopher Nolan.
