In the spirit of Ratatouille comes a slightly more inappropriate children’s movie based on cultural stereotypes. High in the rafters of the Temple Beth Shalom synagogue live the Goldbirds, a family orthodox doves. Mr. and Mrs. Goldbird want nothing more than for their son Jacob to study hard and go to law school, a plan they had hatched before he did. But Jacob has other dreams. Dreams of turntables and dropping the bass. Jacob hones his skills in secret, swooping in to covertly save set after set of bland Bar Mitzvah reception DJs. Will Jacob ever get to receive the recognition for his skills that he deserves? Or will his dreams of leaving the nest and spreading his musical wings forever remain a fantasy? One thing’s for certain- it ain’t over ‘till the phat bird spins!
