Elizabeth Jackson went to bed early Christmas Eve with visions of a marriage proposal hinted by her longtime boyfriend Ralph. In the morning she bounds out of bed, her mind swimming with the possibilities of the future. Instead of finding a ring-shaped box under the tree, she finds Ralph bludgeoned to death with a concrete candy candy. Scattered amongst his blood are red velvet pieces and cookie crumbs.
