It’s the inevitable sequel to How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Twenty years have passed since the Grinch’s heart defied medical advice and instantaneously grew 3 sizes. And the Grinch stayed true to his word, shamelessly mooching off of the Whos Christmas celebrations every year. But his neediness has grown more and more expansive, and he now overstays his welcome on every holiday- even the lesser know regional government holidays. Returning from college for Christmas break, Cindy Lou Who decides to take her new non-Who boyfriend Michael home to meet the family. Michael is shocked by the Grinch’s lack of respect for boundaries, and even more astounded by the Who community’s refusal to stand up for themselves and tell him to give them a break. Michael decides it’s up to him to do what no Who will do and send the overbearing Grinch back to his cave. But there’s a reason the Whos tolerated the Grinch’s overbearing exuberance for so many years- Grinches are not known for their mental stability, and always take things way too personally. Unintentionally awakening a murderous repressed personality in the Grinch, Cindy Lou must figure out how to undo the damage her new boyfriend caused before the Who’s Who of Whoeville is two Whos minus two.
