Maria is a public high school teacher. When her son Marco begins high school (at the very same school), he begins acting up in more and more serious ways. With fewer and fewer options left to keep her son out of trouble, Maria turns to his estranged and recently paroled father for help- and together, father and son realized life is too important to spend it behind bars.
