Ohio is not necessarily a hotbed of culinary innovation; I mean they have spaghetti that they throw chili on instead of sauce I guess, which explains why this “mini season” of Top Chef is being released as a feature length one-off on Peacock instead of a traditional episodic one. But Springfield’s seemingly overnight meteoric rise in fame due to a bold new epicurean trend warranted the team getting out there- fast!
This season on Top Chef they’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats, verily they’re eating the pets! New host Kristin is sitting this session out on moral grounds, but Tom and Gail are ready to try some unique new proteins and are hoping for creative Haitian seasonings to help ease their palettes into consuming domestic companions.
To help make up for Kristin’s absence Bravo has partnered with Saratoga Spring Water and Apple AI to fabricate a synthetic Hannibal Lecter to join the judges. The hope is that his unique perspective on food preparation and consumption will elevate the conversation; for his part he is looking forward to sampling the contestants, ideally with some pikliz and a nice Barbancourt.
Get ready for a Judges’ Table like no other this November!
