Long Time Listener, Short Term Memory

Nora Ephron is dying. Not in the way that most of us are; slow and unaware, but in an aluminum-deposit-in-the-brain sort of way. As her memory begins to fade her husband tries anything to keep her present. Finding an oldies station, Nic tries to spur her memory with doo woop, soundboards, and DJ banter. The music therapy shows promise, and soon Nora is calling into the radio station and telling the stories of her youth. A third act twist reveals that the DJ was her husband all along, trying to unlock her true treasures…her bank account. It’s part The Notebook, part Memento, and all tasteless.
