Another lazy, er thoughtful anthology of pet-themed scary stories. First up is an all bunny rendition of Silent Night, Deadly Night 4. While this movie was a formative scary movie in Uncle Muffin’s youth, I don’t really recall the story. So, I’m just going to assume it has something to do with a little snot-nosed punk catching a beating on Christmas Eve for spying on his parents humping which leads him to become a serial killer. That sounds right, and if it isn’t we’d still watch bunnies act it out.
Second is an all animal version of Treehouse of Horror IV. You can tell we’re firing in all cylinders when we got an anthology in our film of shorts. It’s like turtles all the way down, expected these turtles are bloodthirsty killers.
And finally, it’s long been debated, but many consider dogs playing poker the most terrifying image ever, but few know it was the inspiration for The Gambler. And now we come full circle, with an all dog remake of The Gambler. Is it scary? Not really, until the dogs open their own version of Kenny Rogers Roasters and you question where they got the meat from.
