Natasha Lyonne and one of the kids from Netflix’s The Babysitters Club star in this gender swapped remake of The Princess Bride. Is it lazy? Sure, but have you seen The Hustle? There’s two different ways this can go: slavish beat-for-beat remake (think Gus Van Sant’s 1998 Pycho) or use William Goldman‘s framework and general ideas to create something similar, but new (ala 2016’s Ghostbusters). Either way, no one is going to be happy. Which is how you know some Netflix executive is all ready trying to get this made.
