During his hitch in the Army, Cpl. Wayne Rogers relied on humor to help him and his comrades through the horrors of war. Upon discharge, he turned his coping mechanism into a career, and his special brand of army humor tickled the publics’ funny bone. Still, he never forgot the boys he left behind, and despite his newfound fame, frequently performed at overseas USO events. But, when a generic Eastern European dictator with an unrealistic plan for world domination kidnaps him at a USO performance he’s forced to entertain a very different set of troops. Will Cpl. Rogers succumb to Stockholm syndrome and turn his wry observational humor about Army life into actual venom directed at the country that he loved? Or, will this Army of One prevent a nuclear catastrophe with jokes and by being Army Strong? Cpl.
