Tom Selleck is back as Quigley- the sympathetic Down Under cowboy who won our hearts in the early 90s returning to save the koalas as brushfires, virulent diseases, and a general sense of apathy have overtaken popular culture in 2020. Is this a Tom Selleck vanity project using dat Blue Bloods money to stick it to Harrison Ford for continuing to represent Indiana Jones, the role that should have rightly been his, decades after its rightful sell-by date? Of course! Does it neuter its relevance in our current turbulent climate? Maybe. But Tom is ready to reprise his hopeful 1990 franchise starter for no apparent reason- what are you doing with your spare time?? I thought so- see you in theaters in April 2020.
