Dick Trembleson, an aging news anchor disenchanted with the partisan and accusatory slant of cable news networks decides to pilot a local newscast centered only on puff-piece lifestyle segments in an attempt to “recapture the humanity” he feels has been lost today. After getting mocked by his peers in the field and then maimed severely filming a spot centered on the birth of a polar bear cub at the local zoo Dick decides that maybe it is time to get a little more “hands-on” to make his town great again, one murderous house call and on-the-street interview at a time. Keep the cameras rolling and gird your loins and orifices because here comes the boom...mic...up your ass...until you are dead!
