When Marvin is cut from his minor-league basketball team, he takes a job as the facilities manager for the local arena he used to play in. If he can't play, at least he can be around the sport he loves, and all is good...until the arena is turned into a minor league hockey rink. When he accidentally crashes the zamboni during a blowout game, the home coach notices how adept Marvin is at dodging and blocking the beer bottles being hurled at him by fans. The door to Marvin's return to semi-pro sports is opened as he's offered the chance to be the new savior-goalie of a downtrodden squad...that is if he can learn how to skate first!
